Abstracts

The scientific committee welcomes the submission of high quality abstracts focusing on the different topics below. Abstracts can be submitted until 30 September 2021. Please note that this is the final deadline.

Before the conference one abstract will be rewarded with a free registration for the conference. This authors’ registration will be re-imbursed. The abstracts will be judged by the following criteria:
- Overall quality
- Methodological quality
- Use of the conference format
- Relevance for the aims of the conference
- Level of English
On-site the best poster presentation and the best oral presentation will be awarded with a re-imbursement of the registration fee.

- Reconfirm or change your current accepted abstract:
o In case of an update, your abstract will then be reviewed again by the scientific committee and information about acceptance will be giving according the new time schedule of the conference.
o In case of a reconfirmation, your abstract stays accepted.

Presentation types

There are 2 options for abstract submissions:
  • Oral presentation: Presenters in these dedicated sessions receive 13 minutes to present their work (project, research, quality improvement initiative, innovative ideas, …), followed by 2 minutes for questioning by the audience. All selected abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. Oral presentations will not be accepted from presenters who are not attending the congress.
  • Poster presentation: Presenters in these dedicated sessions will be invited to develop a poster to present their work (project, research, quality improvement initiative, innovative ideas, …). Presenters will need to present their work during the dedicated sessions and a broad audience will be guided through the posters and discussion will be encouraged. Posters will not be accepted from presenters who are not attending the congress. Please note that the max. poster size is A0 (841 x 1189) in portrait - not landscape. The panel size is 1m width and 2m height. Poster presenters can hang up their poster in the morning or during the morning coffee break prior to the lunch/poster session. All posters needs to be removed after the last poster session. In the building, you will find a list with poster numbers. You can look up your poster and attach it to the panel with the corresponding number. Attachment materials will be provided by us. Posters should be brought to the conference and not mailed. Presenters are responsible for posting and removing their own materials.

Submission & acceptance

  • More than one abstract may be submitted.
  • E-mail confirmation of abstract submissions will be send when the abstract is received by the organising committee.
  • Deadline for abstract submission is 30 September, 2021.
  • E-mail notification of acceptance will be send by 12 November, 2021.
  • Authors are required to register for the conference and complete payment before 30 November, 2021 in order to present.

Instructions

  • Abstracts are to be written in English and should be submitted electronically using the submission form.
  • The abstract title is limited to 150 characters (including spaces). The abstract is max. 300 words for oral and poster presentations.
  • Abstracts for oral and poster presentations need to report on following information: background, methods, results, discussion and a conclusion section.
  • Please ensure that your research has been approved by the relevant ethics committees (if applicable). Accepted abstracts for oral and poster presentations will be published in the conference proceedings and the EU Falls 2022 website.
  • Abstracts that do not fulfill the criteria as discussed above will not be reviewed and will be rejected.
